Dr Laura Ripoll Gonzalez is an Assistant Professor in Governance at Erasmus University, Netherlands. She is an expert in Place Branding, Strategic Communication and Network Governance. In her research, Laura explores topics around place brand co-creation, place brand experience, citizen participation, and sustainable place branding. She uses a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods and combines insights from Branding, Marketing, Communication, Network Governance and Sociology, among others, to study how the co-creation of strong city and regional identities can assist urban and regional sustainability transitions. Laura was a visiting professor at the Department of Communication and Pompeu Fabra University, Spain and a Research Associate at the Department of Politics & IR at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Dr Cecilia Pasquinelli is an Associate Professor of Management in the Department of Management and Quantitative Studies at the University of Naples Parthenope (Italy). She is a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Place Management, Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Place Management and Development (Emerald). Previously, she was a research fellow at GSSI Cities, Gran Sasso Science Institute in L’Aquila (Italy) and was a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Social and Economic Geography and Centre for Innovation and Industrial Dynamics (CIND) at Uppsala University (Sweden).Her research interests encompass place branding and marketing, place of origin, tourism destination branding, local systems and sustainable communities. Dr Norberto Muñiz Martínez is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Leon, Spain. He has published papers in academic journals and books; lecturing internationally, with stays at universities and institutions from Europe, the Americas and Asia. He has been visiting scholar at the Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia); and Universidad de Medellín (Colombia); and cooperating with Stockholm University Business School (Sweden). Norberto’s areas of research are: city marketing & place branding, multilevel and multiactor value co-creation processes under the Marketing–Service Dominant Logic-, new trends on tourism (eco-tourism and adventure travelling). Elisenda Aguilera Cora is a predoctoral fellow in the Communication department of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona. She holds a Degree in Communication from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a Master’s Degree in Social Communication Research from UPF. She is a member of the Communication, Advertising and Society (CAS) research group and teaches in the Advertising and Public Relations and Audiovisual Communication degrees. Her doctoral thesis explores how place branding strategies in mountain areas are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
