Active Implantable Medical Devices Workshop 2025
We are excited to announce the Active Implantable Medical Devices (AIMD) Workshop 2025, an event focused on the innovation, research, and development of electronic medical implants.
The AIMD Workshop 2025 aims to:
- bring together leading experts from around the world to discuss the latest issues, advancements, and opportunities.
- disseminate the potential of implantable devices for advanced therapies and diagnostics;
- showcase current and emerging technology platforms;
- present clinical applications and challenges;
- and inspire students and young graduates to pursue careers in the field.
Over the two days of the event, the workshop will feature leading researchers and industry experts, who will share their knowledge on implantable medical devices for a variety of specific conditions. The programme will also include additional activities, such as a panel discussion on the regulatory, financial and IP challenges that startups face when entering the medical device market.
The AIMD Workshop will provide a great opportunity to learn about the latest research and developments in medical devices, while offering excellent networking opportunities in a prime location.

Registration fees
Registration fees includes lunch and coffee breaks on both days of the event.

**If you are interested in presenting a poster, you can submit an abstract (≤300 words, plus references) for review using the attachment option here. Alternatively, you may send it later, no later than May 16th, to antoni.ivorra@upf.edu. If you need poster acceptance before registering, please submit your abstract to antoni.ivorra@upf.edu by April 5th.
For students registration, you have to send proof of your student status to anna.comas@upf.edu:
- Undergraduate and master's students: a copy of enrollment to the current course
- PhD students: letter signed from your supervisor confirming your status as a PhD student.
Registration will close on May 16th, 2025.
