28th International Congress of Papyrology

Optional Tours

The organization of the 28th International Congress of Papyrology has envisaged two post-Congress one day trips. The registration procedures for any of the tours as well as the payment process will be done through the Eventum website.  The organization will soon publish further details and the exact price of the tours.

 Saturday 6 August: Tarragona.  We will leave Barcelona at around midday, after the general meeting of the AIP, and arrive at Tarragona at lunch time. After a meal together, we will visit the Roman ruins of the former capital of the Roman Tarraconensis and the Archaeological Museum. The approximate price will be 95€ including travel expenses, lunch, tickets to the archaeological site and the museum, and guided tour.

 Sunday 7 August: Ampuries and Ullastret. We will leave Barcelona on Sunday at around 9 am, and get to Ampuries towards 11 am. After a guided tour or the Greek and Roman cities we will have lunch by the sea and, in the afternoon, those who wish it will be able to visit the ruins of the Iberian settelement of Ullastret. The approximate price will be 95€, including travel expenses, lunch, tickets to the archaeological sites and guided tours.
