Barcelona International Critical PR Conference 2020
POSTPONED to summer 2021
BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL CRITICAL PR CONFERENCE #10
UNIVERSITAT POMPEU FABRA
29 - 30 June 2020
Taking stock: 2020 visions on the critical, historic, contemporary and future challenges facing PR
Call for papers deadline: March 1st 2020
The end of the second decade of 21C and the tenth anniversary of Barcelona International Critical PR is a good time to take stock. We particularly seek papers that take stock personally, institutionally, locally and globally. As individuals and scholars/practitioners we’ve had two decades now to get a handle on how we’ve done to date and where we might be going. Every year we’ve been graced with some of the most respected academics of the field. Many of these conferences have been organized by the UPF (University Pompeu Fabra), the UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and the University of Waikato. This year it will take place in University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, on the 29 and 30 of June, 2020.
The first edition of this conference was held in 2010 and since then it has been celebrated annually in Barcelona. Every year we receive presentations from some of the most respected scholars and our tenth anniversary theme is: Taking stock: 2020 visions on the critical, historic, contemporary and future challenges of PR. Proposals addressing – and even challenging – the overall theme are warmly invited. Conventional papers on any aspect of public relations will also be considered. Please feel free to contact the organizers directly if you wish to discuss the relevance of any proposal.
If you are interested in participating, and seek an early response for funding, or planning, please send and abstract of between 250-300 words for an individual paper, and around a 1000 words for a panel of three or four speakers to callforpapersprconference@upf.edu.
